Recent Research News
Aug 10, 2015:
In the last few months, there has a growth and flowering of ideas and research activity. In May, Andrew Blackburn and Jean Penny presented a paper at the TENOR2015 conference in Paris. At the same conference, Hassan Abdullah and Andrew Blackburn also presented a poster. The papers associated with these presentations are available online, by clicking on the relevant links above.
Following the conference and, over the next few days, research meetings and planning sessions were held in Paris to develop ideas for the 2nd Spectromorphological Workshop to be held in Malaysia on Dec 8 - 9. We are again very pleased to confirm that Prof Marc Battier and Prof Pierre Couprie, both of the Université de Paris, Sorbonne, will be in attendance.
In August2 - 4, a research session was held at UNIMAS in Sarawak with Andrew Blackburn, Hasnizam Wahid and Jean Penny. The thrust of this session was to develop some new timbral notation models for both acoustic instruments and electroacoustic. The results of this activity will be presented and debated at our December Workshop and in future publications.
